MUELLER, August (Gus)
May 1, 1936 – March 10, 2023
It is with profound sadness and sorrow that the family of August announce his passing, after a brief illness with his family by his side on March 10, 2023.
He was born on the family homestead near Dapp, and after marrying his devoted wife in 1959, lived almost his entire life in the Westlock area.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Ruby; three children: Sharlene, Randy and Kevin; six grandchildren, Shelby, Landon, Evan, David, Emily and Madeleine; two brothers, Karl (Irma) and Oscar and two sisters, Luise and Heidi.
He was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Dorothea; sisters, Martha, Gertie, Clara, Ida, Elsie; brothers, Otto, Walter and George.
An avid fisherman, August loved his family more than words can say. He was a proud, quiet, genuine man, who also enjoyed a round of golf or camping. A successful plaster and stucco contractor for many years, who believed a job worth doing was worth doing well. August spent much of his leisure time with family projects such as building furniture and gardening.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Westlock Memorial Hall, 9903 - 106 St, Westlock, AB.
The family would like to thank Dr. Roshko, Dr. DaCunha, Stephanie and the Westlock Health Care staff for their compassionate care during this time.
