Albert Michel Patry died suddenly at the age of 70 on May 25, 2022, at his home in Cherhill, AB.

Albert is survived by four children from his 40-year marriage: Jason (Teresa) Patry, Jennifer (Liam) McKinney, Joanna Patry (Gregory Pagdato) & Daniel (Tamara) Patry; grandchildren: Austin, Samaira, Naomi, Haydenne, Kieran, Carleigha, Jaxtin, Luke & Kohl; four siblings: Bernard Patry, Jeannette (Gerald) Byrtus, Gerald Patry (Shelley) & Raymond (Jackie) Patry; and good friend, Sally Surrendi. He was predeceased by his parents: Charles & Rose Alice Patry and two brothers: Paul Patry & Edward Patry.

Albert was born and raised in Athabasca, AB.  He graduated from Edwin Parr Composite High School and then moved to Edmonton where he attended the University of Alberta. After graduating university, he worked as a probation officer for five years in the St. Paul/Hardisty/Wainwright offices before switching careers to become an entrepreneur. Albert lived and worked in Wainwright, AB for 20 years while growing a business and helping to raise four children. Next, Albert moved to Cherhill, AB where he continued with his work and hobbies.

Albert always had a strong work ethic and enjoyed building his business. When he wasn’t working, he liked outdoor activities such as snowmobiling/quadding, hunting and riding horses. 

Funeral service will be held at St Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Athabasca, AB on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 11:00 am
