Frank Peter Petryshyn of Dapp, Alberta passed away suddenly at home on May 13, 2021, at the age of 89.

In his passing, Frank will be remembered by Elaine, his loving wife of 66 years, his son Daniel of Barrhead, daughters Donna (Ted) Dul, of Fawcett and Jan (Derek) Rasmussen of Fort Saskatchewan, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters Margaret (Lyle) Kruse and Alice Hrabec, sisters-in-law Geraldine Petryshen, Charlotte Petryshen, Pauline Petryshyn, and Rose Sabourin as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Frank was predeceased by his son, Robert; brothers Alec, Carl and Jerry, sisters Olga and Irene and his parents: William and Victoria.

Frank was born on July 13, 1931 on the family farm near Clyde, Alberta. He married Elaine in 1954 and they moved with their young son, Robert, to Dawson Creek B.C. in 1956. In 1964, they returned to Alberta, with Robert and a second son, Daniel. They settled at the farm east of Dapp, later adding two daughters, Donna and Janet, to the family. He remained active on the farm until his passing.

Due to Covid restrictions, a small private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Frank’s parish in Dapp, followed by interment at the Halach Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Frank’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or STARS Air Ambulance.
