Primrose, Melvin Upton
1933 - 2021
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and brother, Melvin Upton Primrose, on March 10, 2021, at the age of 87.
Mel will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was a jack-of-all-trades who loved gardening, horses, nature and woodworking and took great pride in the many inventions he created over the years. He was very active in the Westlock Legion for many years, both on the dance floor and maintaining the dance floor. He also mentioned his “coffee group” often and truly enjoyed the conversations and friendships that it brought to his life.
Mel is survived by his son Terry (Shereen) Primrose, daughters Gail (Dave) Hiebert and Darlene Primrose, grandchildren Casey and Keanna Hiebert and his twin brother Alvin (Cheryl) Primrose.
Mel was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean Cobban, his parents Gordon and Marion Primrose and his siblings Helen, Donald, Jack, Daisy, Glen, Gordon, Eric and Scott.
Due to Covid, there will be an. Invitation only service on Tuesday, March, 23 at 2PM. The service will also be live-streamed on the “Christ Lutheran Church of Mellowdale” Facebook page. A recorded version of the service will also be uploaded to Youtube at a later date. Once completed, the link will be posted at www.christlutheranchurch.ca.
