Rochat, Norman (Norm) Gaston
It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Norman (Norm) Gaston Rochat of Westlock/Flatbush, Alberta, on Friday, January 8, 2021.
Norm was born February 25, 1934 in Thortonville, near Fawcett; was the 2nd son of Rose and Gaston Rochat. He was a proud and dedicated member of the Edmonton Fire Rescue Service and retired from the position of District Chief, in 1991, after 34 years service. He was a loving husband father and partner, and strong contributor to his communities.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 44 years, Winnifred (Wyn), his older brother Donald (Don), sister Yvonne, and brother Jimmy.
Norman is survived by his partner Donna Carter, his three (3) children Jacqueline (Roman), Kenneth and Andrea (Glenn); and his grandchildren Jessica, Paul, Cole, Rachel, Sarah, William, Kodie, Kelsy, & Kyhra, and his brother Arnold, sisters Clarice, Anita, and Karen, He was also loved by Terry (Monica),
Charleen (Nick) and Tamara (Kelly); and their children Christopher, Megan, Kayla, Ty, and Ethan.
Norm was a hard worker, community member, and a loyal & trusted friend; he will be missed by those who knew him.
Due to restrictions a service will be held in the summer, where he will be laid to rest in the Fawcett Cemetery, date to be confirmed.
