Simpson, Alexander James
On August 14, 2021, Alexander Simpson of Rochester, AB passed away at the age of 73 years.
Alexander was born on June 8, 1948 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He spent many years in the Rocky Mountain House area from there bought a farm near Rochester where he loved training horses. He did a great job training any kind of a horse. He was a genuine old-time cowboy. In the recent years he sold the farm and moved to Thorhild Lodge where he lived up until his passing. There he loved to tell cowboy jokes, repeating them 3 or 4 times a day, and listen to Elvis Presley in his room real loud for all to hear.
He will be missed by many friends. His infectious laugh and generosity will be greatly missed, he was the type of man that would give you his last dollar.
He was predeceased by his parents James and Beatrice, and his sister.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Westlock Funeral Home with viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow in Evangelical Lutheran Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Thorhild, Alberta.
