Madeleine Eva St. Louis (nee Morin)

October 12, 1941 – October 27, 2023

The family of Madeleine Eva St. Louis of Pickardville, AB is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on October 27 at the age of 82 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lise, Phillippe (Heather), Normand Jr. (Kimmy), Lucie, Bear (Diane), Alex (Pam); and 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Normand; her sisters, Henriette and Marie; her brother, Marcel; and her parents Clara and Philippe Morin.

Madeleine and Normand married April 25, 1962, and set up their house and home near Pickardville. They farmed for many years while they raised their family and participated in the community. Their door was always open, with the coffee on and the cards ready to be played. They loved having friends and family over.

Madeleine was a French teacher and also worked for a number of years with Alberta Agriculture. She loved music all her life and always enjoyed a good sing along. It brought her great joy to be involved with the church choir as well as with the community choir, the Merry Makers.

Visitation was Friday, November 3, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Westlock Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass was held Saturday November 4, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. Benoit Roman Catholic Church, Pickardville, AB with Fr.Antony Thomas IMS celebrant. Cremation followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Madeleine’s name to the AHS Westlock Continuing Care Centre, 10203 96 St, Westlock, AB T7P 2R3.

The Family wishes to send a special thank you to all the staff at the Pembina Lodge and Westlock Continuing Care Centre and Dr. Dacunha. Your caring support for our mother will always be remembered and appreciated.
