It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Roy and Margaret Thompson. Roy left us on October 4th and Marg followed on October 12th both at the age of 94 years, just days before their 95th birthdays and after 73 years of marriage. They will be sorely missed by their 5 children: Gail Townsend, Marilynn Clark, Laurie (Doug) Wilson, Greg (Lori) Thompson, Charlene (Bruce) Cole, their 13 grandchildren: Troy (Amanda) Clark, Trevor (Annabelle) Clark, Tammara (Kevin) Miller, Scott (Jenn) Lindstrom, Bud (Martina) Clark, Kimberly Lysak, Jeff (Lisa) Thompson, Rianna Wilson, Tyler (Kelsey) Thompson, Raelyn (Jordan) Baker, Travis (Roni) Thompson, Kaylee (Andrew) Kuschminder, Brett (Katie) Cole, their 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. They will also be missed by their siblings: Glen (Marje) Thompson, Rosemary (Richard) Mueller, Alvena (Fred) Johnson, Jim (Penny) Walker, Eldon (Ann) Walker and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and dear friends.
They were predeceased by their parents Arnold & Ethel Thompson, Bill & Edith Walker, siblings Earl (Mildred) Thompson and Kay (Don) MacGregor.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care provided by the staff of the Barrhead Keir Center for the last 4 years.
Their Celebration of Life will be held on October 28th at the Fort Assiniboine Legion at 1:00 PM with a luncheon to follow.
