URSULAK, William John (Sonny) Aged 72

September 10, 1948 - January 29, 2021

Happy trails to our Legend, who has ridden off into the great sunset in the sky!

John will be greatly missed by his wife, Marlina (nee Dowhaniuk), his children, Leah Douglas (Craig), John Ursulak, Ronald Ursulak and Daughter in law, Nicole Lecours. He is also survived by his siblings, Sonia, Marjorie (Ron), Allan (Joan), Ronald (Vernice) and Debbie (Branko), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

One of the truest joys in John’s life were his grandchildren (Jayd Ursulak, Logan Ursulak, Olivia Douglas, and Helayna Douglas) and he often had a tear in his eye when talking about how proud he was of them.

John will be remembered for his great sense of humour, memorable laugh, first-rate story telling, generous heart and love of animals and nature. He was not someone easily forgotten, and we will cherish our memories.

John was predeceased by his parents Martha and Steve and his brother Terry.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Alberta SPCA 17904 – 118 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5S 2W3.

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Robert Frost
