Dear Editor, Once again we have celebrated Remembrance Day. It’s always good when a community gets together to remember and honour those people who have given their lives as the price for freedom.

It’s time for Westlock County council to take a public position on the $1.49 billion Alberta PowerLine Fort McMurray West 500-kV Transmission Project. So far, all council has done is say it facilitates and encourages discussion.

It would be hard to find a better example of the Town of Westlock’s other motto, “a community with spirit,” than Light Up.

When you think about it, it’s kind of impressive just how many stores there are in downtown Athabasca and Boyle.
