Dear Editor, Governing a country has never been easy, especially when people look to government as the solver of all problems, the hander out of goodies, and the Santa Claus, who should meet all our needs.

They said it couldn’t be done, but we did it They said nobody cared, but they do. They said people are disinterested, but it’s clear they not.

School zones should not be hard to miss. If you are following the speed limit in urban or rural areas where the posted limits are not more than 100 kilometres per hour, the signs should be pretty easy to see.

Sometimes life comes full circle.

Dear Editor, After reading Mark Thiessen’s letter in the Sept. 22 Barrhead Leader, I am compelled to point out the underlying reason for discontent.

Dear Editor, Many people have weighed in regarding the pros and cons of a swimming pool in Barrhead. There are some that are firmly against it but it seems to me that most people are in support.

It’s kind of an open secret that the Town of Athabasca’s council is split evenly into two rival camps.

Leave it to the sports pages to provide inspiration. This past weekend the inaugural Hot Karl Memorial Hockey Tournament dominated the Athabasca Regional Multiplex.

If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
