It has been a tough two weeks for Albertans.

Contrary to the Eastern Media and political so-called experts Western unrest is not all about oil or pipelines. Our agricultural industry and federal government agencies including our court system, are in chaos.

For the last year, reports have been coming in fast, indicating that a surfeit of particularly fragrant skunks has invaded the Westlock area and residents are advised to either take a good, long whiff or leave them be.

As many folks read in the Oct. 15 issue of the Barrhead Leader , Town of Barrhead administration and councillors recently decided to demolish the Blue Heron Boardwalk due to safety concerns.

As you probably heard from the numerous articles and retrospectives dominating the national media last week, Oct. 17 marked the one-year anniversary of the legalization of cannabis.

We suspect a lot of people are going to be angry that the Town of Westlock is spending $1.2 million on solar panels. We’re also kind of waiting for the first person who will jump up and say “What about the roads?” Here’s an answer: “Pipe down.
