With a week left to go before the Sept. 17 Westlock County Div. 5 byelection, we remain stunned by the interest shown.

I think Woodlands County Fort Assiniboine councillor Dale Kluin said it best: it is time for councillors to show some leadership and say no to a pay increase. Unfortunately, that is not what they did last week.

The Athabasca Regional Multiplex has applied for a grant worth $100,000 from the federal government through the Community Accessibility stream, and the money is intended to improve accessibility for the disabled at the Alice B.

I cannot believe our government is legalizing something as vile and destructive as alcohol. It boggles the mind our government would decide to normalize a substance that causes as much societal ill as alcohol.
