When does a town or county councillor stop being an elected member of government and when are they just members of the community? That is the question Woodlands County Coun.

This week’s paper will have articles where particular choices were made on to show. This is what people need to know. This is what makes for a good story. The choice in coverage in some articles will be obvious.

On July 11, I stood in front of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Athabasca with a sign in my hands. “My body my choice.” I have never had to make the choice to have an abortion.

“I’m taking my ball and going home,” yelled the young child to his peers as he stomped across the playground with his bottom lip extended and tears streaming down his cheeks.

To the Editor: I just read a tribute to J.R. Harris in the Barrhead Leader. I did not go to Mosside’s one-room school, but I can speak to his influence on the students he taught. J.R. Harris influenced every kid in the countryside.

The British Columbia government, numerous towns and First Nations people opposed to the Trans Mountain pipeline have every right to be concerned. Anyone in their right mind would.

It was disappointing to see only a handful of people turn out last Wednesday for the presentation at the Barrhead Agrena about the new Western States Hockey League (WSHL) team that may be coming to town.
