We’ll all head to the polls April 16 in what’s shaping up to be one of the most interesting provincial elections in history. No one, we repeat, no one expected the NDP to form government in the weeks and days leading up to the May 5, 2015 election.

It came as no small shock last week when China announced a ban on all Canadian exports of canola seed, cutting off what is indisputably the most important international market for Alberta producers.

Dear Editor, Why is everyone in such a darn hurry? There’s no prize for who finishes first! All these new gadgets should free up time, but no, everyone is busy. You have to make an appointment to have coffee with your neighbour.

I don’t want to take credit where credit isn’t warranted, but two communities that I have lived in have been named a winner in a Kraft Celebration Tour — Creston and Barrhead.
