Time to make Remembrance Day a national holiday

It is time for Canada to make Remembrance Day a statutory holiday. For the last number of years, in more than one newspaper, I have advocated that the federal government should make Remembrance Day a national statutory holiday.

The latest money grab by the County in passing the first reading of a by-law on rural payers to park R.V.’s in ones own yard is so ridiculous. It appears that there are too many employees that have to be put to work.

There were so many people present at last week’s public hearing for Athabasca County’s proposed Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw that they were lined up along the walls and into the hallway, waiting for their turn to speak.
