Closed door meetings, dysfunctional council, unknown costs, the list goes on and on, but still no explanations to the 1,211 town ratepayers and what, 5,300 county ratepayers, as to what the increased tax increases will be to pay for the pool.

Sometimes no news is good news and sometimes no news, is just that — no news. In regards to the town and county coming to some sort of recreation agreement, it seems the latter is more accurate.

As many of you may know, I am the reporter whom is responsible for covering the docket and criminal court for the Barrhead Leader.

Dear Editor, I came back from a two week holiday to read this week’s paper (Oct. 25, 2016) and read Carl Werkman’s long letter about the indoctrination of our youth by the LGBTQ movement.

The buzzword floating around both provincial and local government tables over the last few years has been “intermunicipal collaboration.

Westlock is a great community and the proof is in the pudding as we continue to celebrate the town’s 100th year in existence.
