WESTLOCK - As of 8:40 p.m. on May 29, Westlock County has declared a local state of emergency and issued a mandatory evacuation order for residents in the area.
Evacuees located East of Hubert Lake Provincial Park on both sides of the Pembina River are being asked to calmly and safely make their way to the Westlock Spirit Centre located at 9603 and 100 St in the town of Westlock. Those evacuating should bring any medications, important documents, pets and supplies with them.
Residences in Fawcett and the surrounding area should be prepared to evacuate and continue to monitor their devices for any updates.
