Westlock County councillors have set a date for the upcoming Div. 3 byelection.
Following a special meeting Dec. 15, councillors selected Monday, Feb. 8 as the date residents will head to the polls.
Former Div. 3 Coun. Jim Wiese resigned Dec. 8 over the sale of the Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill.
Advance polls will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Westlock County office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At the same meeting reeve Bud Massey announced the appointment of returning officer Cary Muller and deputy-returning officer Lisa Germann.
Nomination Day is Monday, Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the county office.
In order to run, candidates must obtain signatures from five residents in the area and must live in Div. 3. Elections forms will also be available at the county office.
