Hubert Lake Wildfire update: fire out of control

The fire in the Hubert Lake Wildland Provincial Park has been classified as out of control. The wildfire has grown to 600 ha in size. The affected area is 12 km west of Fawcett and 19 km north of Vega.

The fire in the Hubert Lake Wildland Provincial Park has been classified as out of control.

The wildfire has grown to 600 ha in size.

The affected area is 12 km west of Fawcett and 19 km north of Vega.

Alberta Wildfire firefighters supported by airtankers, helicopters and heavy equipment currently responding to the fire.

People are reminded to stay out of the area to not impede first responders and for personal safety. 

A mandatory evacuation could be issued to some residents in the area who are currently being notified.
