The Westlock Golf Club hosted their ladies scramble tournament on July 5 with 15 teams of four or two players each competing with 58 total players.
The winning team featured Wanda, Anita and Marsha Arcand and Shelley Courteorielle, who shot a combined game of 67.
Scramble tournaments are structured with each player given the opportunity to tee off and the next shot being taken from the best shot out of the team members.
The tournament kicked off on a warm sunny day with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and continued into the afternoon until around 2:30 p.m.
The other teams this year included team Denise Stricker, Tammy Brauer, Tari Goodard and Susan Craig, team Madison Provencal, Becky Zadunayski, Ashley Clarahan and Krysta Montgomery, team Amanda St. Laurent, Danielle Schmiemann, Clair Murray and Paige Papley, team Katie Podolski, Kysta Webb, Marlee Heck and Corinne Olthius, team Crystal Lacourciere, Tannis Jackson, Kristina Eerkes and Sandra Truckey, team Pauline Ruxton and Val Mosher, team Jess Smith, Delia Carlson, Kim Carlson and Chrissy Lucas, team Peggy Nadeau, Maureen Boisvert, Ursala Schaffler and Judy Wishloff, team Paulette Paquette, Darlene Smith, Cecile Lemessurier and Elaine Powell, team Cassandra Arcand, Morgan Arcand, Mariam Arcand and Tanita Cardinal, team Colleen Cassavant, Liz Roberts, Laurie Arndt and Rose Lecky, team Laverne Arcand and Corinne Auigbelle, team Aimee Fortier, Jackie Huppertz, Denice Boulerice and Ariana Montgomery, and team Shari Miller and Jenn McLeod.
The previous winners of the Westlock ladies scramble tournament in 2024 were Judy, Shannon, Dorian and Lazraiah Alexis.
The ladies will have the opportunity to compete again this summer at the Westlock Open Aug. 9 and 10.
The Westlock Golf Club also hosted the Legion Golf tournament on July 12 as a fundraiser for community youth programs.
