Rain creates havoc on highways
Nearly a dozen vehicles slid off Highway 18 east of Clyde last Wednesday, prompting Westlock RCMP to shut down a section of the highway for a few hours in the morning.

Rec Centre Closed
During the overnight between Saturday and Sunday, the Westlock Recreation Centre suffered a snow slide on the east side of its pyramid roof, tearing off part of its fascia, said community services director Danielle Snyder. For safety purposes, the facility will remain closed until an engineer can assess the extent of the damage. If the damage is found not to be structural, Snyder said they hope to reopen the facility as soon as possible.
