The death of Westlock resident Laura Letts Beckett and the subsequent murder charge laid against her husband Peter Beckett, as well as his ongoing court proceedings, has struck an emotional chord in this community.

Westlock RCMP arrested a local man earlier this month in connection with an armed robbery in Spruce Grove. According to an RCMP media release, at about 8:30 p.m. on Aug.

The large tire fire that burned for close to four hours in the east end of Westlock last Tuesday was started by two children who were playing with lighters, RCMP said.
