Barrhead area residents who are looking to further their education have one less option. In June, Northern Lakes College’s Barrhead branch will be closing its doors permanently after 12 years of operation.

A group of area residents plan to take a walking tour of some Calgary area neighbourhoods later this summer. But this isn’t just any walking tour, it is one with a purpose, to help conquer cancer.
