EDMONTON — For much of three seasons Tre Ford stood on the Edmonton Elks sidelines listening to fans chant: "We want Tre, we want Tre." No more chanting.

GUELPH — Wynton McManis finds himself in somewhat unfamiliar surroundings as he returns for a fourth season with the Toronto Argonauts. The veteran middle linebacker will anchor a new-look Argos defence this season.

VANCOUVER — Rapper and noted sports fan Snoop Dogg will help the B.C. Lions kick off their CFL season next month. The Lions announced Tuesday that the award-winning musician, producer and actor will perform at B.C.

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks signed veteran Canadian offensive lineman Mark Korte to a two-year contract extension Tuesday. Korte, of Spruce Grove, Alta., remains under contract with Edmonton through the 2027 season.

HAMILTON — Scott Milanovich quickly removed any doubt regarding who will be the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' starting running back this season.

GUELPH — Being the Grey Cup MVP has earned Nick Arbuckle the chance to compete for his job with the Toronto Argonauts. Like all CFL teams, Toronto opened its training camp Sunday.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will add Hall of Famer Miles Gorrell to their Wall of Honour this summer. The six-foot-eight, 285-pound Gorrell played on Hamilton's offensive line from 1985-91 and again in 1996. He will be formally inducted Aug.

OTTAWA — Canadian defensive back Tunde Adeleke is calling it a career after seven CFL seasons. The Ottawa Redblacks announced Friday that Adeleke, 29, had retired.

TORONTO — The CFL says it saw the fewest number of concussions recorded last season since 2015 when it introduced enhance detection and tracking of the injury.
