The ski season may be over, but that doesn’t mean the board and staff of Misty Ridge Ski Hill are sitting idle.

Westlock's Garin Butler will hit this ice this spring as a member of Team Alberta Northwest at the ATB Alberta Cup in Canmore April 29 to May 3.

Registration was strong at all levels except the midget level this year for the Westlock Lacrosse Association, which kicks off the 2015 season this week.

The annual mixed bonspiel capped off a successful 2014-15 season for the Westlock Curling Club. The event, which ran from March 20-22, saw 11 teams from across the region compete in three divisions.

It wasn’t the end to the season they wanted, but the Westlock Senior Warriors skated away from provincials with a fourth-place finish after 6-1 loss in the bronze medal game.
