The Westlock Midget Warriors managed to go .500 over the weekend in pair of 1660 Midget Tier 2 Hockey League tilts, dropping a 3-1 decision to Wetaskiwin Feb. 2 at the Rotary Spirit Centre, while dominating Ponoka the following night on the road.

The Westlock Curling Club held its Open Mixed Bonspiel Feb. 2-4 as 16 teams mixed teams took to the pebbled ice at the Servus Curling Centre. “We had 16 teams, which is not bad. I was hoping we’d get maybe 20 or 24 but 16 is not bad.

The season is over for the Westlock Senior ‘AA” Warriors after a 6-2 loss to the Morinville Kings Jan. 27, which capped the first-round, five-game opening round North Central Hockey League playoff series.
