With Whitecourt double-booked, the Westlock Curling Club came through in the last minute to host the Alberta School Athletic Association North Central Zone curling finals Feb. 23-24 . Eight schools sent 16 boys, girls and mixed teams, with R.F.

The Westlock Bantam Warriors embarked on a three-game winning streak over the course of Feb. 16-17, notching one league win and two victories in provincial playdowns. The first game was hosted at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre on Feb.

The St. Mary Sharks came up just short of capturing the 32nd annual W.J. Kallal Senior Boys Basketball Tournament title at the Rotary Spirit Centre Feb. 9-10, losing out to Gerard Redmond Community Catholic School 50-43.

Westlock’s Midget Warriors posted a perfect 3-0 weekend that included a victory over Rivičre Qui Barre in Round 2 of the provincial Zone 3 playoffs.
