Rose Marie Fowlie (nee Bromberger)
September 12, 1945 - April 17, 2021
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Rose Marie Fowlie, late of Shoal Creek, Alberta, on April 17, 2021. She passed away at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rose is survived by her loving family; Michele (Nick) van der Zouwen of Wetaskiwin, Dawn Marie Fowlie of Edmonton, Scott Fowlie of Shoal Creek and Mike Fowlie of Shoal Creek and grandchildren, Haley van der Zouwen of Wetaskiwin and Cole van der Zouwen of Wetaskiwin. She also leaves behind her siblings, Deanna Scales of St. Paul, Eugene (Linda) Bromberger of Sherwood Park, Cliff (Nora) Bromberger of Shoal Creek, Dennis Bromberger of Barrhead, Darlene Bromberger of Barrhead, sisters-in-law Jean Rufiange of Innisfail and Tudy Fowlie of Red Deer and loving cousin, Anna Gardiner of Edmonton. Rose will also be missed by nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, numerous other family members and dear friends.
Rose is predeceased by her husband, Jim, her parents Elizabeth and George, her parents-in-law Ronald and Edith and her brothers-in-law Buck, Bud and Guy.
Due to current pandemic conditions and Rose’s wishes, a funeral service will not be held. Immediate family only will gather for a private event. Rose’s family sends comforting wishes to her many loved ones as they share their sorrow from afar.
Memorial donations may be made to the Barrhead Healthcare Centre or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
