Leonard Alexander Halonen
With heavy hearts, the family of Leonard Alexander Halonen, announce his passing on May 14, 2024, at the age of 72.
Len was born August 26, 1951, and spent his life in the Thorhild area. He farmed family land for well over 50 years. He had retired from farming and also from his job at McEwens Fuels and Fert in Thorhild. He enjoyed his time with the Thorhild crew. During his retirement he would go back to the farm and he loved to help out wherever he was needed. He enjoyed good conversation, a good laugh, and good cup of coffee. Leonard was a gentle, kind and caring, hardworking man and he will be missed more than he ever knew.
Leonard is survived by his brothers Richard (Veronica), Ted (Michele) of Thorhild. Sisters Linda (John) of Legal and Wendy (Shane) of Thorhild. His nephews and niece, Tylor (Charissa), Eugene, Patrick, Cody, Lee, and Erin.
Leonard is predeceased by his parents Hugo and Antonia, brother Melvin, and niece Cathy.
As per Leonard’s wishes, there will be no service.
