Edward (Ed) Frederick Koshurba

Mr. Edward (Ed) Frederick Koshurba, of Barrhead AB, formerly of New Hazelton, BC and Fort St. John, BC, passed away Tuesday, June 14th at the age of 77 years after a sudden heart attack. He has gone to heaven to join his wife of 50 years, Teresa (Terry) Koshurba who predeceases him on the same day in 2019.

Ed leaves behind a loving family deeply moved by this loss. His family includes his three children, Jason Koshurba (and Diana Graham) of Edmonton, AB, Patricia Jinks (Koshurba) of Barrhead, AB, and Stephen Koshurba (and Todd Attridge) of Port Hope, ON. Ed left behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren that he loved dearly, including: Hailey Koshurba, Tanisha Graham, Tristan Graham, Shealene Ford, Morgan Koshurba, MacKenzie Koshurba, Brenden Jinks, Kiera Jinks, and Kayden Koshurba.

Ed was fortunate to have found additional love from his current partner Corrie Phillips and her large family. This family brought him love and joy in his final years, making life for him during one of the most difficult times, satisfying and meaningful.

Along with his partner Corrie, he leaves behind her two daughters, Gina Measures, and Tracey Kobe (and Kelly Kobe). Ed had a unique bond with Corrie’s extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including: Chelsey Jackson (and Tyler Jackson), Nicole Johnson (and Byron Johnson), and great-grandchildren, Avery, Kinsley, and Marley (donut) Jackson, Trey and Rogan Johnson, and Connor Kobe.

Ed was quietly devoted to the many relationships he had with other family and dear friends across Canada and back in his native land, The Ukraine.

A memorial service will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Barrhead, AB at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. The service will be officiated by Father Johnny, followed by a brief moment of reflection to honour the memory of a wonderful man after the service.

The Koshurba family and his partner Corrie have requested that if you wish to make a donation, they will be collecting on behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
