Let's take an unofficial poll.

I recently started writing a column for the Town and Country, and as part of that I was required to come up with a catchy short name to describe my musings. I have to admit, although I am a writer, I struggled.

As many Westlock residents would know, the story of the Westlock & District Community Hall’s financial woes is an ongoing one.

In just under a week, Westlock residents will get to ask questions of the three candidates jockeying to helm the "sinking ship” that is the Wildrose Party. That's what we're all thinking, right? After Danielle Smith and the other eight MLAs crossed the floor to the Conservatives, the Wildrose Party was effectively gutted. This "leadership race” is tantamount to fighting over who gets to keep a room in the middle of burning house.

Nothing scars a community more than tragedy, and the Town of Mayerthorpe has seen it first hand. On Tuesday, March 3, the Leader travelled to Mayerthorpe to pay our respects and hear the story behind the killing of four RCMP officers.

It’s not another referendum question, political poll or charity, this time its some pretty good local athletes that could use some fans to boost their spirits.

True, spring will drop in on this part of the country shortly, but what’s ahead for Albertans is another provincial election.

Horrifically This letter is in response to my MP’s letter two weeks ago that began "Horrifically..". Horrifically, Mr. Harper's and Mr.Yurdiga's policy of force and control against “Jihadists” is a failure. Force, taken to the extreme as in George W.
