The Westlock North Task Force will soon bring a recommendation to Pembina Hills trustees to establish a consolidated K-9 school in Dapp within the next three years, while shuttering Jarvie School and W.R. Frose School in Fawcett.

Marek Kenneth Ronald Kasawski is Westlock's first baby of 2013, born to mother Trisha Kasawski. Marek was born weighing seven pounds two ounces at 7:52 a.m. on Jan. 2 at the Westlock Healthcare Centre. Marek was due on Jan. 1, but decided to hold off a few hours, his mother said.
