UPDATE: Drowning ruled a homicide

British Columbia RCMP are now treating the drowning death of a Westlock-area teacher last August as a homicide. "No arrests have been made nor have any charges been laid at this time, June 15,” said RCMP Cpl.

The second annual Long Island Lake Amateur Rodeo took place June 11 at the Long Island Light Horse Association saddle club. Close to 800 people attended to participate and take in the show, said association activities director Adam MacDonald.
