Less than a month after mayor Bruce Lennon announced he would not be running in this fall’s municipal election, Town of Westlock Coun. Robin Brett has declared his intention to replace him.

Elvis Tribute Artist Adam Fitzpatrick joined the Blackwood Brothers Quartet on Sunday at the Blue Suede Music Festival in Busby. His third time at the festival, the Penticton, B.C. resident won first in the Elvis Festival there, and recently came in second at Memphis two weeks ago to become the world's second-best Elvis tribute artist.

Starting Sept. 16, Westlock will have a new chief administrative officer — current High Level, Alta., CAO Dean Krause. During a special town council meeting on July 30, councillors voted to offer Krause the position, and on Aug.

STARS Air Ambulance’s new helicopter, the AW139, made its first appearance in Westlock on Aug. 23 as part of a publicity tour and training run. The aircraft landed at the Westlock hospital’s helipad at around 11:20 a.m.
