Happy birthday, Clyde. On Jan. 28, the Village of Clyde celebrated its 100th birthday with cake in the village office. “It’s a great day for the Village of Clyde,” said deputy mayor Nat Dvernichuk.

The provincial government has committed to funding the reported $6 million modernization and installation of six modular classrooms at Dapp School to transform it into the new Pembina North Community School.

Despite the provincial government announcing 18 new modernization projects for schools in Edmonton and Calgary, no word has been received yet regarding the modernization of Dapp School to convert it into a K-9 school in time for the 2014-2015 school

Although they are disappointed with the Westlock Foundation’s decision to lay off 27 employees, union representatives understand the foundation’s rationale.
