The Westlock Spirit synchronized figure skating team performs their routine at the opening ceremony of the 2011 Atom 'B' Provincial Championships on March 18.

In its pursuit of helping members of the community, Westlock County council have given money to two organizations that operate outside the municipality’s borders.

Westlock’s new sports complex will be officially known as the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre. The name was chosen at the Westlock Rotary’s March 3 meeting by a secret ballot. Members voted for one of seven suggested names.
