Spirit Centre more than halfway done
Although from the outside it doesn’t look like there’s a whole lot of progress being made on the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre, that’s just because the work is now all being done on the inside of the facility.

Oops!
While attempting to gas up on Wednesday morning, a semi-trailer hauling a track feller buncher (a piece of equipment used in forestry) accidentally smacked into the canopy of the Petro-Canada gas station outside of Clyde. Clyde firefighters had to stay on the scene for a few hours to make sure the structure did not collapse while an engineer came to have a look at it.

Westlock RCMP Const. Jim Jimmo will be out on the county roads full time as he has been selected to fill the enhanced policing position with the county. Council approved creating the position through a series of meetings last spring.

Westlock Remembers
A small crowd of about 50 people were at the Westlock Cenotaph Friday afternoon to see about two dozen doves released. Earlier in the day about 1,000 people packed the Westlock & District Community Hall for the official Remembrance Day ceremony. Also on Nov. 11 more than 100 people packed the Clyde Community Hall for the village's Remembrance Day ceremony before moving outdoors to the cenotaph.
