Students from BCHS and Fort Assiniboine School celebrated their graduation on June 30.

The Town of Barrhead is on the hunt for a new fire chief. Gary Hove tendered his resignation last week. Hove said he is going to take some time away from the fire department, and that he stepped down for health reasons.

Graduating students at Barrhead Composite High School and Fort Assiniboine School were among some 500 graduates in the Barrhead-Morinville-Westlock riding to receive their diplomas last week.
