The Westlock Intermunicipal Library Board has been recognized as a provincial leader in innovation.

Brad and Melody Nelson received the Clyde Ag Society’s volunteers of the year award at the annual Ag 500 banquet on April 27 at Clyde Community Hall.

Last Saturday, 59 medical, nursing and physical therapy students from the University of Alberta descended on the Westlock hospital.

Mushroom enthusiasts rejoice. Community mushroom plots are available at Athabasca University this spring, but donít wait too long or they will all be gone. The mushrooms will be grown in a shed in the community garden.

From lobster to perogies, Athabascaís new RCMP constable Mark Tyler, 27, will notice some differences in culture. Tyler is from Halifax, Nova Scotia. ìI am from the east coast,î he said.
