EDMONTON — Larry Thompson is the new private owner of the Edmonton Elks. A CFL source requesting anonymity said the former owner of Thompson Brothers Construction, will become the franchise’s new owner.

Ontaria Wilson has been quite a find for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The six-foot, 175-pound rookie is the CFL club's top receiver with 37 catches for 575 yards and two touchdowns at the halfway point of the season for Winnipeg (3-6).

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed offensive lineman Jean Delance and linebacker Aubrey Miller Jr., the CFL club announced Monday. The six-foot-five, 305-pound Delance attended the B.C. Lions' training camp earlier this year.

EDMONTON — Wins have been rare for the Edmonton Elks — and even rarer at home. Boris Bede kicked three field goals on Sunday as the Elks won their second game in a row, and second of the season, defeating the B.C. Lions 33-16.

MONTREAL — Two early turnovers set the tone for another strong showing by the Montreal Alouettes’ defence on Saturday night.

TORONTO — The CFL has initiated a review to determine a possible reinstatement for suspended Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly.

MONTREAL — Davis Alexander is relishing the opportunity to face — and defeat — the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for a second-straight week. The Montreal Alouettes quarterback also knows Hamilton will try to catch him by surprise.
