Jim Mullin is stepping away from Football Canada to concentrate on his post with the International Federation of American Football (IFAF). Mullin confirmed Monday that after six years as Football Canada's president, he is resigning from the post.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed American cornerback Jamal Peters to a one-year contract extension Monday. The deal keeps Peters with the CFL club through the 2025 season.

EDMONTON — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have a nickname for the opposition’s end zone. They refer to it as the “chicken box.” So, after each of running back Brady Oliveira’s two fourth-quarter touchdowns, he did a chicken dance.

OTTAWA — The Montreal Alouettes want to give themselves every advantage heading down the stretch and Saturday’s 24-12 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks was a big step forward.
