MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes signed veteran American defensive tackle Dylan Wynn on Wednesday. The six-foot-two, 290-pound Wynn has spent the last four seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

VANCOUVER — The B.C. Lions didn't waste any time trying to fill the void created by the departure of all-star defensive lineman Mathieu Betts.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed free-agent defensive back Jamal Peters and receiver Luther Hakunavanhu while re-signing receiver Terry Godwin II on Tuesday. The moves came on the first day of CFL free agency.

WINNIPEG — Ken Ploen, a two-way star who led the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to four Grey Cup titles, has died at 88. The Blue Bombers confirmed Ploen's death in a statement Tuesday. A cause of death was not given.

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts shored up their Canadian content on the opening day of CFL free agency. Toronto signed defensive backs Tunde Adeleke and Kerfalla Exume, linebacker Fraser Sopik and fullback Albert Awachie on Tuesday.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added some punch to their running attack in the form of A.J. Ouellette.

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive linemen Derek Wiggan and Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund, running back Sean Thomas Erlington and receiver Tevin Jones on Tuesday. The moves came on the first day of CFL free agency.

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks signed American kick-returner Javon Leake on Tuesday. The move became official shortly after Leake hit the CFL's open market. Edmonton signed Leake to an agreement in principle last week.

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders signed American defensive back Demerio Houston to a two-year contract Tuesday. Calgary reached an agreement in principle with Houston, a 2023 CFL all-star, last week.
