WINNIPEG — Chris Streveler is back in the CFL after growing weary of playing the waiting game south of the border.

WINNIPEG — Chris Streveler is back with the Winnipeg Bombers. The American quarterback agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the CFL club Wednesday.

TORONTO — The CFL will stage its annual draft April 30. The league made the announcement Wednesday. The draft will immediately follow the NFL draft, which will be held April 25-27 in Detroit. The CFL global draft will be held April 30 at 11 a.m. ET.

SURREY, B.C. — The B.C. Lions have signed several returning players, but as CFL free agency looms, there's one name that remains conspicuously absent from that list: Mathieu Betts.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed American defensive lineman Anthony Lanier II to a one-year contract extension Tuesday. Lanier was eligible to become a free agent next month.

TORONTO — The CFL free agency process will kick into high gear Sunday. That's when the league's free-agency window will open and CFL teams will be able to talk freely with any pending free agents or their representatives.

REGINA — Anthony Lanier II will be returning for a fourth season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. According to a league source, the six-foot-six, 285-pound defensive lineman signed a one-year contract extension with the CFL club Monday.

CALGARY — Dave Dickenson will have two newcomers to his Calgary Stampeders coaching staff this season.

HAMILTON — Jordan Williams is a Hamilton Tiger-Cat.

MONTREAL — Kelly Malveaux, a defensive back who played 10 seasons in the CFL and was a Grey Cup champion and two-time East Division all-star, has died at 47.
