Dear Editor, Misinformation, negativity, blame….We are all feeling emotions due to the closure of our swimming pool.

We’re Back in Black, but not in a T.N.T. or a Highway to Hell sort of a way.

It has been a good week for Barrhead athletes. Golden glory and valiant victories are high this year for the town’s winter sports. The Barrhead Midget Steelers always put on an impressive show.

For two nights, Barrhead audiences were kept spellbound by a group of young local actors. Drama for Children’s latest production, Godspell, was a magical mix of singing, dancing and acting.

Dear Editor, Disappointment and dismay with our Town and County Councils is what comes to my mind whenever I think of the swimming pool situation in the Town of Barrhead.

It’s been the kind of week where nearly everybody has been focused on sports. The 2014 Winter Olympics wrapping up Sunday, and Canadians from coast to coast have every reason to be proud of the third-place finish in the official rankings.

The 2014 Winter Olympics came to a close on Sunday, and as Canadians we have a lot to be proud of. Canada ended the Olympics in third place with a total of 25 medals; 10 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze.

Dear Editor, Sixteen years ago, I renewed my love for swimming at our beloved Barrhead Pool. I was a competitive swimmer for seven years as a kid and returned to lane swimming when I was expecting my second child.
