Dear Editor, Our family of four moved into the Barrhead area two and a half years ago. We moved here to be closer to family and to escape the fast pace of a more populated area.

In 1897, the New York Sun, in its editorial responded to a young girl, named Virginia, who wrote a letter to the editor asking if there was a Santa Claus.

Stop signs and other roadside notifications are put there to keep motorists and pedestrians safe. When one is knocked down, it presents all of us with a problem.

No one will argue that childcare is getting too expensive, especially for low-income families. For some, putting your child into daycare is just as expensive as paying a mortgage on a home.

While we applaud the introduction of a law requiring the use of helmets on off-highway vehicles (OHVs), the province should have gone the extra step and extended the helmet requirement to riding OHVs on private land.

Dear Editor, At a second glance, perhaps President elect Donald Trump is not the fool he was portrayed as, and when our Alberta Premier tries to negotiate with him, I think she will find out how he made those billions.

They say that the devil is in the details. That was certainly the case during the pool design committee’s open house on Dec. 1.

Athabasca...It's time we let our town council know we are tired of their infighting, name calling and dysfunctionality. It does not matter who is right or who is wrong.
