For Dave Hall, a life of service has been the guiding principle of his 73 years.

The event was held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Westlock Memorial Hall and was completely sold out, drawing 12 participants who spent the afternoon baking festive treats as part of FCSS' broader Help at Home for Seniors program.

Attendees of the 'all aboard the fun' family day weekend event were treated to the museum’s extensive collection of vintage farming machinery, alongside a captivating, ever-changing model railway setup, featuring lifelike landscapes and detailed miniature stations.

Entering the arena, the excitement was palpable. Loud shouts could be heard echoing off the walls of the arena, as players shouted words like ‘Whoa!’ and ‘Hurry hard!’— phrases that hold much deeper meaning to those well-versed in the sport.

The town of Westlock's cat control bylaw was not passed on Feb. 10, following the review of public feedback. Council members then voiced their own concerns about the ability to enforce such a measure effectively.
