Remembering quilters past during Rochester Centennial

The Rochester Centennial Fair, held last weekend, was a celebration of history in many different ways. Alice Dzivinski (l) and Lil Fodchuk admire handmade quilts made many years ago by Dorothy Clow. Clow's daughter, Carrie Kushneryk, said her mother, who is 93 years old, has been quilting for as long as she can remember, and is still quilting today.

A 53-year-old man died in a single-vehicle rollover near Colinton Monday night. Police say the male driver, from central Alberta, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene. He was lone occupant of the vehicle.
