To the Editor, Barrhead Leader. On behalf of the Calgary tennis players (four of us altogether) who attended the recent Barrhead senior games tennis tournament, we would like to make a few observations.

Dear Editor, Ball in our community is huge in the summer months, regardless of age. We have many other communities that travel here to play our local teams, and presentation is huge.

For more than a quarter century Bruce Lennon has served Westlock either as a school division trustee, town councillor, and for the last nine years as mayor — the last two terms of which he ran unopposed. Let that sink in for a moment.

The final of three Grade 12 classes in Athabasca County graduated last week, meaning a total of 151 local young adults must now chart a new course all their own — or reach for the stars, fly as high as they can, and quite possibly never stop believin

As the crowds dispersed from one multi-day event, another one is just around the corner.

Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! Where was the plaintive sound coming from? The bushes? Long grass? A rooftop? A culvert? It was hard to be positive.

Dear Editor, Recently, (July 23) my husband, Calvin, who is a hemiplegic, fell in our driveway while trying to get out of his truck. I could not get outside to help him.
