My experience at the Barrhead Leader was different than I thought it would be. I thought that it was going to be boring, but I always had something to do.

The fact there is any debate taking place within Tory headquarters about whether to pay back the illegal donations it received over the past years is shocking. There should be no debate.

Barrhead has done it again. Community members dedicated to making this town a better place for families have put on yet another successful event.

Regardless of the occasion or the size of the gathering, Jim Woodward was often the biggest man in the room ó in every sense of the word.

Pembina Hills trustees will have a very tough decision to make in light of the recommendation by the Westlock North Task Force to close two of the three schools in northern Westlock County.

So at last we know. After months of speculation and rumour-mongering, we have a location for Barrhead’s new aquatic centre.

I grew up in a family that enjoyed spending time together. We hiked, we fished, we watched movies sharing a big bowl of popcorn, but something I always enjoyed doing is playing board games, and this has stuck with me. We had dozens.

Old Man Winter clearly has an appreciation for karma. Last year the Athabasca area enjoyed (or didnít, depending on your preference) a relatively light winter.

For more years than they probably care to remember, a group of familiar figures has been organizing Barrhead’s Wildrose rodeo.

Well guys, I had a blast. Don’t know about you, but I thought that was one helluva snowmobile ride. Sorry if I held you up, but you see my thumb … my right thumb … found pressing down on the gas a little too tiring.
