Dear Editor Good morning Canada; The actual governing people of Canada seem not to be aware of just who we are.

Thereís an unmistakable feeling in the Athabasca-Boyle region that big things are on the horizon.

The exasperation in the voices of local RCMP officers and fire-and-rescue officials is palpable.

Well, not much remains of that once plump, juicy turkey, does it? Fridges and larders are probably looking a lot emptier now. Eggnog has disappeared, along with stuffing and those scrumptious apple and mince pies.

No matter who you are, the New Year is sure to have some meaning for you.

It’s that time of year once again. The holiday season is upon us, and as you read this newspaper you will likely be home for some restful time with your family and friends.

Sometimes a smile lights up a person’s day. Sometimes a kind remark or gesture has the same effect.

Dear Editor, As a reader of the Barrhead Leader, I would like to say that a person would be hard-pressed to find a better reporting team than what is at the newspaper now. Find some glue and affix them to the Leader, to the community of Barrhead . .

Dear Editor, The atrocities that twisted minds can inflict upon humanity, humbles us. Even though we feel pain and sorrow over the senseless mass murder and suicide of Sandy Hook, it pales to the horror upon the parents.
